What does an intern do here?

Support design and documentation, help with calculations, drafting, and coordination on active projects.

What will I learn?

Load paths, typical framing systems, detailing, and how to produce clear structural sheets and notes.

Who’s a good fit?

Curious, detail‑oriented students or recent grads who ask good questions and communicate clearly.

Required background?

Working toward or recently completed a BS/MS in Civil/Structural or related field.

Lead portions of projects from schematic through CA—calculations, drawings, and coordination with the team.

Core responsibilities

Structural analysis and design, clear details and documentation, RFIs/submittals, and collaboration with architects and contractors.

Who’s a good fit?

Strong communicator with sound judgment, constructibility mindset, and comfort owning deliverables.

Typical experience?

2–5+ years in structural design (range flexible); EIT required, PE a plus or on track.

Tools and workflow?

Standard analysis and drafting tools; emphasis on clarity, responsiveness, and accountability.
