What does an intern do here?

Support design and documentation, help with calculations, drafting, and coordination on active projects.

What will I learn?

Load paths, typical framing systems, detailing, and how to produce clear structural sheets and notes.

Who’s a good fit?

Curious, detail‑oriented students or recent grads who ask good questions and communicate clearly.

Required background?

Working toward or recently completed a BS/MS in Civil/Structural or related field.

Lead portions of projects from schematic design through construction administration: calculations, drawings, and coordination with the team.

Core responsibilities

Structural analysis and design across wood, concrete, and steel; clear details and documentation; RFIs, submittals, and collaboration with architects and contractors.

Who’s a good fit?

Strong communicator with a constructibility mindset, detail orientation, and comfort owning deliverables on a small, collaborative team.

Typical experience?

2 to 5 years in structural design; EIT required, PE a plus or actively pursuing.

Tools and workflow?

Revit and RISA; emphasis on clarity, responsiveness, and accountability.
